  My promised whining thread...

  i just got back from family court last wednesday.. my mother aged 81 (an ex jw by the way) has an advanced case of altzheimers.

  she still knows us and can converse with you, but is becoming increasingly irrational because of the dementia inherent in this disease.

  she had been wandering off from her house and getting caught just walking down the street in 5:00 traffic several times in recent months.

  we had a whole family that moved into our congo when i was about 10. they had kids from 6 to 16-years-old.

  there was always talk of their beds spinning and shoes floating, et cetera.

  they lived in a literal shack so i didn't want to go there to spend the night, but i always wanted to go and "check it out" to see some fireworks.

  Okay, group... much better stories! ...but alas, no floating beds yet. I'm going to call someone, that will still speak to me, and find out what else went on with the "demonized souls" in my congo.

  I know your pain. Doing something wrong/perceived wrong and then something weird happening is a crappy feeling. I used to feel I was being punished for stupid stuff too. My first, ahem, "encounter" with a chick obviously ended rather quickly and while I showered, to get Satan off of me, my cassette player stopped. I had on Houses of the Holy by Zeppelin. I looked at the counter and I'll be damned if it didn't stop on 666. Whooo, whooo. I think I threw up too.

  These stories are way too logical. Where are all the people that have demons? As a kid, I remember hearing so many stories of demonized shat everywhere. It's perplexing how so many people can whole-heartedly believe so much crapola for so long.
  
  There has to be at least one person on JWD that's seen a bed float... Surely! C'mon. Don't tell me I have to go to a Worldy [sic] site to find actions of the paranormal.

  Okay, cool. So there are stories... Did anyone of you actually see any of these "demons" or this paranormal activity? If so, any in Central Texas? I'd love to go and see some just for the hoot of it.
  
  I didn't believe it then and probably don't now but I sure would love to see something float.
  
  If, at least, we can go and drink Bourbon then that'll be cool too. I'll bring all my Eagle's albums and my ELP, Brain Salad Surgery. Remember the Medusa/Predator-like chick once you folded open the tabs? ...oh and a couple of Styx albums and we'll be all set.
  
  Totally off topic, but there was a dude/dad/elder in my congo that said that all the bad things he had done were due to Rock and Roll. He took the radios out of his cars so the demons couldn't get to him. I should mail him a cassette tape of Havohej, this crappymetal band.

  when i was an active witness i never understood why there were 'annointed' women that would be ruling right beside god and helping rule over the whole earth.

  but, they were not allowed or good enough to be 'elders' and just rule over a tiny little congregation.

  i know now this should have been a red flag for me...but, i just thought oh well this scripture says that men are to be the head of woman.

  Close Encounters of the Third Kind. A great movie, but we as kids were told by this old sister that Jehovah is the 1st kind, Jesus is the 2nd kind and Satan is the 3rd, so you kids don't need to watch that Demonized business.

  All the Dubs I now think it's "Always" the End. Anything else is simply ancillary.
  
  Besides, it makes me physically ill to talk about "The End" with the RoHos. Sometimes I just figuratively roll up in a ball and writhe in pain when I think about it. I've got too much livin' to do for "The End."

  Nearly Lost my Son Yesterday

  i got a call from the ex, she was in tears, and said that our son was struck by car while riding his bike to work.

  when i got to the er, he was lying there in the bed.

  he was bruised & scratched.
